TacStar Shotgun Conversion Kit - Remington 870

DESCRIPTION

Now all the accessories you need to convert your shotgun from Hunting to Tactical in one easy kit. Includes Front and Rear Tactical Grips, 6-Shot SideSaddle, Tactical Shotgun Sling, Barrel Magazine Clamp, and a Quick Detach Sling Swivel Set for the mounting sling. Complete step by step mounting instructions are provided. This kit is especially designed for the Remington 870 shotgun.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1:

Attach the TacStar Sidesaddle to the side of the receiver. The Sidesaddle is bolted onto the receiver with no gunsmithing required. All screws are provided.

1. Lay the shotgun on its side with the ejection port facing up.
2. Using the supplied 1/4-28 screw with washer, push out pin (A) located above and to the rear of the trigger guard. Leave screw in hole.
3. Using the 10/32 screw with supplied washer, push out pin (B) located above and to the front of the trigger guard. Leave screw in hole.
4. Turn the shotgun over and place the mounting plate on the receiver with the two corresponding holes on the two screws.
5. Start screws into the mounting plate and lightly tighten. Do not overtighten. Overtightening may lock up the shotgun’s action. To remedy, simply loosen screws.

STEP 2:

Attach the TacStar Rear Pistol Grip to the shotgun. Simply unbolt the original stock and bolt the new pistol grip to the receiver. Mounting hardware is included.

1. Remove the butt plate or recoil pad from the rear of the stock by unscrewing the two mount screws.
2. Insert a long flat-blade screwdriver into the hole in the rear of the stock and remove the long stock screw.
3. Remove the stock from the shotgun and replace it with the Rear Pistol Grip using the supplied washer and allen-head cap screw.
4. This grip has a molded loop for sling attachment.

STEP 3:

Attach the TacStar Front Pistol Grip to the shotgun. Remove the original forend assembly from the shotgun. Using the supplied wrench, remove the retaining nut from the forend assembly and slide off the old forend. Replace it with the new pistol grip and reinstall the forend assembly onto the shotgun.

1. Remove the barrel by unscrewing the magazine end cap or extension and pulling the barrel free from the receiver. CAUTION - The magazine spring may be released when the end cap or extension is removed.
2. With slight forward pressure being applied to the forend, depress the primary shell-stop. (You will feel the forend and slide assembly move forward slightly.) Depress the secondary shell-stop which allows the bolt assembly to be removed from the shotgun.
3. Set the bolt assembly aside. Using the supplied “T” wrench, unscrew the forend nut and remove the forend. CAUTION - Be sure not to bend the forend's side rails.
4. Replace the forend with the Tactical Front Pistol Grip and securely tighten the nut in place. You are now ready to reassemble your shotgun by reversing the previous instructions.

STEP 4:

Attach the TacStar TacSling to the shotgun. The TacSling easily attaches to the rear pistol grip’s sling loop with a simple Velcro® backed strip. The front is attached using the supplied sling swivel and can be installed using the supplied barrel/magazine clamp or to an existing sling swivel stud.
