Return, Refund & Warranty Policy

1. Our Commitment

We want you to shop with confidence. If something is not right, we will work with you to resolve it fairly and in accordance with South African consumer law.

This policy applies to all purchases made through Pro-Outdoor.co.za.


2. 7-Day Easy Return (Change of Mind)

If you change your mind, you may return your item within 7 days of delivery, provided:

  • The item is unused
  • It is in its original packaging
  • All accessories, manuals and parts are included
  • It is in resalable condition

Important:

  • Return shipping costs are for the customer’s account.
  • A reasonable handling/restocking fee may apply (up to 10%).
  • Refunds are processed once the item has been inspected and approved.

3. 30-Day Return (Unopened Items)

Within 30 days of delivery, you may return items provided:

  • The item remains sealed and unused.
  • Original packaging is intact and undamaged.

If packaging has been opened, we reserve the right to:

  • Decline the return, or
  • Apply a restocking fee depending on the condition of the item.

4. Incorrect Item Delivered

If we deliver the wrong item:

  • Notify us within 7 days.
  • Do not remove labels or original packaging.
  • We will arrange collection at our cost.

You may choose:

  • Replacement (if available)
  • Refund
  • Store credit

5. Goods Damaged in Transit

If your item arrives damaged:

Notify us within 7 days and provide:

  • Photo of the outer packaging
  • Photo of inner packaging
  • Photo of the damaged item

We will:

  • Arrange collection if necessary
  • Replace the item (if available), or
  • Issue a refund

6. Defective Goods (CPA Statutory Warranty)

Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), all goods carry a 6-month statutory warranty against defects.

A defect means the product:

  • Was faulty at the time of supply
  • Is unsafe
  • Fails due to poor materials or workmanship

Within 6 months, you may choose:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund

We may inspect or send the product to the supplier for technical evaluation before approving the claim.


7. Manufacturer or Supplier Warranty (Beyond 6 Months)

Many products carry a manufacturer or importer warranty beyond 6 months.

Our approach:

  • Within the first 12 months: We will assist you in facilitating the warranty claim process.
  • After 12 months: We may provide you with the supplier or manufacturer contact details for direct assistance.

Final warranty decisions outside CPA coverage are subject to the supplier or manufacturer's assessment.


8. What Is Not Considered a Defect

The following are not considered defects:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
  • Improper installation
  • Electrical surges
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Damage caused by incorrect storage or handling

9. Special Orders & Custom Goods

Products that are:

  • Specially ordered
  • Custom-made
  • Imported specifically on request

May:

  • Require a deposit
  • Not be eligible for cancellation
  • Not be eligible for change-of-mind returns

Cancellation fees may apply.


10. Refund Process

Refunds are processed:

  • Within 8–10 working days after return approval
  • To the original payment method where possible

Please note:

  • Bank processing times may delay reflection by 2–3 working days.
  • Gift voucher purchases will be refunded as store credit.
  • Promotional voucher values may be adjusted proportionally.

11. How to Initiate a Return

To log a return:

Email: sales@pro-outdoor.co.za

Include:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos if damaged or defective

We will issue a return reference number and instructions.

Items returned without a return reference number may be refused.


12. Return Packaging Requirements

Returned items must:

  • Be securely packaged
  • Include all original packaging where possible
  • Be protected from transit damage

We are not responsible for damage caused by improper return packaging.


13. Firearms, Ammunition & Regulated Items

Where applicable:

Certain regulated or restricted items may not be eligible for return due to legal or safety requirements. Specific category restrictions may apply.

Please contact us before attempting to return any regulated item.
