The heart of the "HNTR" is the robust and very quiet outer fabric made of quick-drying 4-way stretch Oxford fabric. 95% polyester and 5% elastane form the basis for a light and at the same time ultra-comfortable fabric that follows every movement and is also resilient. The fabric has a water-repellent (PFC-free) enhanced DWR finish. As with all pants from MerkelGEAR, the HNTR pants are also equipped with a gusset in the cut, which additionally relieves the already strong double seams. The waistband is extremely comfortable and can be closed with two loop buttons and a YKK® semi-auto zipper. Sufficient belt loops and discreet attachment options for suspenders keep the trousers where they belong. The HNTR Pants have two side pockets with deep pockets and a zippered back pocket. On the left thigh there is a tight-fitting, inconspicuous cargo pocket that is closed with a flap and magnet. There is a discreet nap pocket on the right thigh and underneath is a smartphone pocket for standard-sized cell phones. The knees are double articulated to give the pants a natural fit. As with the MNTN II, the inner side seams in the lower area have been moved outwards like a shark's fin in order to increase the lifespan of the double seams in this particularly stressed area. The leg ends are close to the shoe and have a partial elastic waistband, which underlines the modern overall impression of the trousers and makes life more difficult for ticks.
